Job Title: Bilingual Registered Nurse
Reports to: Spanish Team Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse fluent in Spanish to provide comprehensive nursing care while facilitating effective communication for Spanish-speaking patients. This role involves translating medical information and supporting patient care, education, triage, procedures, and protocols under the direction of the physician.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide accurate medical translation for Spanish speaking patients to ensure clear understanding of their care.
  • Respond to web correspondences in Spanish, addressing all questions and concerns.
  • Provides patient education and medication administration teaching.
  • Assists with translation of documentation from English to Spanish.
  • Triages patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.
  • Maintains factual and thorough health care records.
  • Communicates, reviews, and records all laboratory results.
  • Monitors and manages fertility treatment cycles under the direction and supervision of physicians.
  • Supervises all licensed practical nurses and medical assistants.
  • Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training. Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents, in English and Spanish, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in both English and Spanish. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
  • Medical Terminology
  • Demonstrate proficiency in injections
  • Demonstrate proficiency in venipunctures
  • Demonstrate proficiency in administering oral medications
  • Time management skills
  • Fluent in Spanish

Certificates and Licenses:
State Registered Nurse License
CPR/BLS
