Job Summary

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our DCT Health Informatics Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Health Informatics Program Coordinator! This position will support the planning, coordination, and execution of various initiatives within the department.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, organizing meetings, and maintaining communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Health Informatics department by providing administrative support, tracking project milestones, and helping to implement new systems and processes.
  • Work closely with clinical support team, operations services, Minnesota Information Technology (MN.IT) services, end users, and division leaders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year of health informatics or healthcare administration experience in a healthcare setting that demonstrates the following:

  • Experience with project coordination, administration, or support roles.
  • Experience working with EHR systems, data management practices, and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

OR

Three (3) years of healthcare administrative support experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Experience providing support to project and administrative teams.
  • Experience with EHR systems, data management practices, and healthcare regulations.
  • Experience entering data and preparing visualization tools.

Note: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or related field may substitute for 1 year of healthcare administrative support experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, information technology, or related field.
  • Coursework or certification in project management, data management or healthcare information technology.
  • Experience with maintaining production support environments including leading projects and teams in a medical or hospital setting.
  • Clinical background (i.e., Nurse, Pharmacist) and in-depth knowledge of medical record systems.
