         About Branch Care:

Branch Care is a seed stage startup on a mission to make fertility care accessible to all. Our vision is to build a world where technology and science increases access to family creation. Initially, our technology will enable this by making it easier for patients to begin their fertility journey with their OB/GYN, regardless of their location – increasing access to care. The opportunity to work with Branch Care is an opportunity to work on solving the biggest emerging global medical challenge of our lifetime: infertility.

We’re the most recent incubation of AlleyCorp, an incubator and early-stage investor based in NYC. Some of AlleyCorp’s prior investments and incubations include: Business Insider, Gilt Groupe, MongoDB (NASDAQ: MDB), Zola, Nomad Health (raised $250M to date), Pearl Health ($100M to date), Transcend Therapeutics ($100M to date) and more. Moreover, our board consists of seasoned reproductive care leaders who have invested in companies like Maven Clinic (raised $200M+), Carrot Fertility (raised $100M+), and more.

The problem we’re setting out to solve:

Despite growing demand, there is a very limited supply of reproductive endocrinologists (“fertility specialists”) in the US, compounded with an expectation of 20% of the workforce slated to retire in the next two years. These specialists are typically concentrated in coastal cities, limiting access to fertility care for many who seek access.

From a training and licensure perspective, OB/GYNs are a natural extension to enable fertility specialists to see more patients with the right tech and partnerships in place. They are the first point of contact for patients seeking fertility services and are looking for new ancillary revenue streams, but lack the means to easily coordinate fertility care with specialists. Meanwhile, fertility specialists could increase their patient volumes – and patient impact – if they concentrate their efforts on the highest complexity fertility procedures.

Branch Care is building a tech-enabled network of fertility and OB/GYN practices to address this workforce shortage, improve patient outcomes through data, and make fertility care accessible to all.

The role:

As an IVF Nurse Coordinator at Branch Care, you will be responsible for remotely supporting patients in their IVF stimulation cycle care at their OB/GYN clinic in partnership with a Reproductive Endocrinologist. As one of the inaugural fertility nurses on the Branch team, you will also have the opportunity to shape the processes, procedures, and hiring for this team – and influence the broader Branch team, laying the groundwork for scale.

    • Sign off that all prerequisites are in place before a patient begins their treatment
    • Move patients through their treatment journey, including scheduling initial and subsequent ultrasounds and bloodwork
    • Escalate issues to partner OB/GYNs and REIs to come to resolution and communicating with care ops team to help develop new workflows
    • Support patient transition to an REI for oocyte retrieval

  • Additionally, you will participate in weekly meetings to help inform our product, data science efforts, clinical & onboarding processes and answer questions from other team members and patients as needed
  • This position should expect to work West Coast hours, supporting in-cycle patients through roughly 6pm PT. While this position is remote and has flexibility, we are focused on driving a stellar patient experience, ensuring patients receive that day’s medication guidance in a timely manner
