This is a remote role, but it does require up to 50% travel to other Transforming Age affiliates as needed.. The salary range is $130,000 to $160,000 per year depending on experience as well as location. We are hiring a Corporate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Transforming Age! This role will be instrumental in assisting, monitoring, and enhancing clinical services within Transforming Age and its affiliates. The role will support the community nurse leaders and the interdisciplinary team, ensuring that all communities uphold the integrity of Transforming Age’s clinical systems and standards. The objective is to achieve and maintain quality outcomes in the top percentile of comparative health systems.
Our Corporate Clinical Nurse:
- Coordinates duties, job assignments, and schedules in collaboration with the Corporate Director of Health Services.
- Utilizes initiative, judgment, and management skills to assess and address the clinical needs of assigned communities.
- Assists in the development and execution of clinical education and training programs.
- Oversees the staff eLearning platform to ensure compliance with new hire and annual training requirements.
- Works with the Corporate Director of Health Services to manage nurse training and licensure tracking.
- Collaborates with and support direct nurse leaders and the interdisciplinary team in assessing and recommending clinical care delivery systems.
- Monitors and track infectious diseases within communities, reporting any risks to the Corporate Director of Health Services as well as community and corporate leadership.
- Participates in the orientation and transitional support for Directors of Health Services (DOHS) and Directors of Nursing (DON), providing ongoing support to DOHS, DON, other professional nursing staff, and unlicensed personnel.
- Monitors the daily EHR (PCC) dashboard and send daily reports on clinical gaps that need timely addressing.
- Assists in mock surveys and monthly audits for Transforming Age communities to ensure ongoing compliance with state and federal regulations and accepted nursing standards of clinical practice.
- Collaborates with the Risk Management team to identify and mitigate clinical risks.
- Assists with resident investigations and report findings to health services leadership.
- Provides review and assistance with plans of correction for cited survey deficiencies as needed or upon request from the Corporate Director of Health Services.
- Offers support and backup through the clinical services team for facility work as needed. This may include serving in an Interim DON role at a Transforming Age affiliate site.
- Supports the OIG Corporate Compliance Program.
- Ensures HIPAA compliance in our locations and affiliates.

What you need to succeed:
- Demonstrated public speaking skills and ability to create tools and conduct presentations for multiple levels of staff, residents, family members and professional peers.
- Experience in developing training programs for Directors of Nursing, nurse leaders and other licensed staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of seven years’ experience as a Director of Nursing / Director of Health Services or similar nurse leadership role in a Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Memory Care environment. Experience with managing multiple sites in senior living highly preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of the MDS process and experience in MDS is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing.
- Must possess current and valid driver’s license
- Ability to coordinate and support clinical skills fairs and clinical simulation experiences on an annual basis or as needed. Participation in annual skills day training across the Transforming Age network of affiliates.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EMR systems, specifically Point Click Care (PCC), and can work with the Corporate Director of Health Services to develop dashboards to pre-emptively identify problems and measure success.
- Knowledge of the licensure requirements of each state Transforming Age operates in.
- Thorough understanding of all clinical State and Federal compliance areas as well as financial impact: nursing, therapy, pharmacy, social services, activities, administration, and accounting.
- Solid knowledge of OIG Guidelines and working knowledge of HIPAA.
- Ability to write clear quantifiable reports that will serve as clear action plans for communities.
- Ability to respond quickly to internal challenges and devote time as needed when there is a community crisis or to assist with start up on new communities.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and stay focused on prioritizing work.
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision.
