The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in the defense of medical malpractice matters.
Education/Experience:
- RN degree from an accredited nursing program
- 5+ years clinical nursing experience
Computer Skills:
- MS Word and Excel
- Electronic document repository system
- Internet navigation
- Electronic search databases
- Legal research systems
Candidates must:
- Understand medical/injury terminology.
- Review, organize and analyze complex medical records.
- Perform medical research.
- Develop medical timelines.
- Research and acquire medical experts.
- Analyze data and prepare summary charts.
- Prioritize work assignments, projects, and deadlines.
- Communicate and interact with clients, attorneys and expert witnesses.
- Be able to work independently.
- Demonstrate excellent people, oral, and written communication skills.
- Possess a strong client service philosophy, responsiveness, and sense of urgency.
- Work effectively in pressure situations with the ability to multi-task and be an excellent team player.
- Occasionally maintain flexible working hours.
- Maintain confidential Firm and client information.
