Position Summary:
The Employee Health Consultant performs duties under the direction of the Human Resources Department to assist in coordinating a health program for the Organization. The Employee Health Consultant makes interpretations and exercises discretion in routine situations regarding employee health. The Employee Health Consultant is ultimately responsible to maintain accurate and confidential health records for the Organization.
Position Qualifications/Essential Functions:
The Employee Health Consultant performs duties under the direction of the Human Resources Department to assist in coordinating a health program for the Organization. The Employee Health Consultant makes interpretations and exercises discretion in routine situations regarding employee health. The Employee Health Consultant is ultimately responsible to maintain accurate and confidential health records for the Organization.
Position Qualifications/Essential Functions:
- Coordinates occupational health requirements for all new hires and current employees
- Ensures proper tracking and record keeping of all requirements such as N95 fit testing, vaccines and immunizations for new and existing employees.
- Responsible for OSHA reporting
- Liaison between employee, manager and workers’ compensation carrier to ensure timely treatment and recovery
- Assist in developing return-to-work plans for employees recovering from illness or injury
- Assists Human Resources and Compliance in audit related functions to include reporting and maintenance of records
- May also perform duties as assigned by the clinical leadership group
- Assist with the compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- Coordinate and conduct regular health and safety training sessions for employees
- May also perform duties as assigned by the clinical leadership group
- Knowledge of federal and state occupational health regulations
- Knowledge of Workers Compensation processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Occupational Health, Public Health, or a related field or 4 years directly related work experience.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee health, occupational health, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive health information.
- Proficient with G-Suite (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
