ACCOUNT MANAGER – Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville and Lake City as key cities.

This is a full-time position with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, short-term and long-term disability, critical illness, and 401k with employer match.

This position will cover our Florida territory and will earn BASE SALARY plus COMMISSIONS.


JOB SUMMARY:

Within the assigned geographic region, maintain and increase the sales of medical products, meet individual sales objectives, attend assigned trade and product shows, and work with distributor representatives. Be responsible for selling to distributors and dealers and servicing facilities in the territory, i.e., long-term, rehabilitation, hospice, homecare, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop an annual territory sales plan and provide quarterly updates to the Region Manager.
  • Develop, maintain and expand customer base, follow up on leads and maintain key customer relationships. To accomplish this, the following departments are point-of-call:
  • Purchasing: Executive director, Owners, Purchasing Agent, Buyer, Central Supply, Prosthetics, Contracting, Logistics. Ask to be included on the Bid and Quotation List.
  • Nursing: WOCN, Director of Nursing, ADON, Treatment Nurse, Wound Care Nurse, Education, Nurse Managers, Staff Development
  • Therapy: Physical, Occupational, kinesiology
  • Environmental Services: Housekeeping, Maintenance, Bio-Med
  • Transport Service
  • Discharge Planning: case management, social worker
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives to achieve the established sales plan.
  • Ensure that the customer receives appropriate samples and literature.
  • Provide in-service education and training to all customers.
  • Assist the Marketing Department by providing data with regard to new products, trends, pricing, competitive information, and new market opportunities.
  • Participate in clinical programs and workshops within your territory as assigned.
  • Support the Quality Policy, Quality System, and follow established procedures.
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow safety rules to protect yourself and company equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) required.
  • 3 + years related work experience required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The position may require the ability to organize and facilitate the moving and setting up of hospital bed frames and surfaces. This includes lifting up to 200 pounds, rolling, taking beds on and off the dollies, and loading and unloading from the transport vehicle.
