Job Overview: Responsible for creating needs assessments, reviewing and evaluating medical content in planning education programs, and applying for accreditation for medical education activities for healthcare professionals, on blood cancer disease, treatment, and survivorship related issues such as side effects management. Work with the Senior Director, Professional Education & Engagement to implement programs for healthcare professionals to engage their participation.

*** This is a TEMPORARY/PART-TIME position, 8 months assignment. Staffed through TCWGlobal **
- Write needs assessments for medical education grant proposals, e.g., MPN Rounds, Acute Leukemia Rounds (disease state background, gaps in clinical practice, current standards of care, educational needs, therapies in development, learning objectives, etc.) and review medical content in proposals written in collaboration with medical education companies
- Write descriptions and learning objectives for medical education webinars, rounds, conference sessions, etc.
- Participate in meetings related to content and to planning medical education programs
- Review slides submitted by faculty for medical education webinars, rounds, rCBC, ONS, for content, including references, CE requirements, etc.
- Write pre and posttest questions for healthcare professionals based on medical education webinar content (including correct/incorrect response options)
- Review webinars prior to final posting online (including pre/posttest, webinar, evaluation /certificate, all components populate/work)
- Review medical education podcast transcripts content to provide concise and shortened content
- Review draft fact sheets from medical writer and comments from physician reviewer, new and updated fact sheets
- Other projects, e.g., apply to ONCC for ILNA points for webinars; apply to AANP for accreditation
- Knowledge and understanding of hematologic malignancies, disease and treatment
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Excellent critical thinking and out of the box thinking skills
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, masters preferred
- Minimum of three years of recent experience in a hematology-oncology clinical treatment and/or clinical education setting in an academic institution, pharmaceutical or biotech company, hospital, or other healthcare setting
- Creativity and flexibility
- Display a commitment to lifelong learning, collaboration and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Outstanding capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to carry out timeline driven objectives
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
