Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Maternal Newborn Nursing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop and review educational content for nursing students, specifically in the area of Maternal Newborn Nursing. This is a contract-based, remote role where you will contribute to nursing education by creating high-quality, engaging, and accurate content focused on maternal and newborn care.


Key Responsibilities:

   

  • Content Creation: Develop clear and comprehensive nursing modules focused on Maternal Newborn Nursing, ensuring alignment with current nursing practices and educational standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with instructional designers and editors to ensure content meets learning objectives and is well-suited for nursing students.
  • Review & Update: Regularly review and update maternal and newborn nursing content to maintain accuracy and relevance.
  • Compliance: Ensure content adheres to nursing accreditation standards (e.g., AACN, NLN).
  • Teaching Insights: Provide guidance on effective teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning, specifically within maternal newborn nursing education.


Qualifications:

   

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) is required, with a focus or background in Maternal Newborn Nursing preferred.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience:
  • 3-5 years of recent teaching experience in nursing education at the college/university level, preferably focused on maternal newborn nursing.
  • Proven experience in curriculum development and educational content creation, particularly for maternal and newborn care.
  • Skills:
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex maternal newborn nursing concepts.
  • Familiarity with current maternal and newborn nursing practices and educational standards.
  • Experience with online learning platforms is a plus.


Good to have:

Experience in authoring or reviewing editorial content for nursing education materials, particularly in maternal newborn nursing.
