Responsibilities:
The Stroke Data Manager will manage data collection, reporting, and analysis for all aspects of the Stroke Systems of Care. As a seasoned nurse professional, this individual will collect, prepare, and analyze all data information for patient safety and operations improvement initiative and work in collaboration with stroke center(s) staff. The Stroke Data Manager will be expected to ensure data is collected, reported and analyzed efficiently and shared timely to drive continuous performance improvement.
- Works closely and in collaboration with all members of the stroke system of care, including leadership, analysts and physicians.
- Prepare, present, and maintain reports for all data collected from the stroke system of care. Manages database to obtain information. Provides project support, data analysis and assistance in organizational improvements.
- Demonstrates outstanding presentation, oral and written communication skills
- Attends educational programs, training sessions, and conference relating to data collection for specific quality projects as assigned.
- Participates in the data entry, and retrieval, from various computer programs and databases. Prepares report summaries to drive stroke improvement
- Ensures regulatory requirements related to data is collected, analyzed, maintained and reported on as required
- Individual should be able to identify major trends in data collection, prepare graphs and measurement tools as appropriate, and report variances in data to the program director and other improvement teams as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or University
- Minimum experience: 2-3 years of experience in data analysis
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree from accredited college or University
- 2-3 years in progressive stroke program/quality management and/or quality data analytics
