Welcome!
Remote Nurse Connection is here to change the way nurses like you find remote work. Because searching for a new job shouldn’t feel like adding another full-time job to your schedule when you’re already burned out.
I know how challenging it can be to balance work and family life, especially for nurses who are parents, caregivers, and travelers. I was a critical care travel nurse for years before making the switch to remote nursing. It’s been a game-changer for me!
When I started looking specifically for HEDIS nurse abstraction jobs that offered greater flexibility, I noticed major gaps in available information about these roles and other remote nursing positions. There were also very few resources on how to get hired.
After successfully landing the *perfect* job for my needs, it became my calling to connect the dots for others who needed help finding balance during a specific season of their life.
Remote Nurse Connection was created to give you the opportunities, mindset, tools, and community you need to achieve the work/life balance you deserve.

Call it my unpopular opinion, but I think nurses with 1-2 years of bedside experience definitely have a chance to land remote nursing jobs!
Sometimes it’s really not all about how many years of nursing experience you have at the bedside, but how well you can show them you have the skills they are looking for to coach & train you for a new nursing role.
I’ve posted a triage role before from a large hospital several times that has specifically stated in the job description that new grads are welcome to apply!
The only way you are going to know if you can land one or these jobs is to make a plan and start applying!
Use the Specialty Filter for “entry-level” on the job board to help you filter out the remote jobs that are requiring prior experience.

Not every remote nursing job means being on the phone all day.
There are roles built for quieter workdays, deep focus, and minimal patient interaction, especially for introverted nurses looking for more peace in their schedule.
If that sounds like exactly what you’ve been looking for, this blog post highlights 10 remote nursing jobs that tend to be a better fit for introverted personality types.
Remote nursing roles are out there. But they aren’t handed out easily.
They’re competitive. The learning curve is real. And getting the interview takes more than just applying, it takes positioning, research, and often… patience.
Sometimes it means accepting a role that’s not “perfect” to build experience toward one that fits like a glove later.
That’s not a setback. It’s strategy.

Wondering which companies actually hire remote nurses?
There’s a lot of noise out there and a lot of vague job titles and endless scrolling to figure out what’s real.

If you’ve ever wondered how to transition into a Utilization Review nurse role but had no idea what that résumé is supposed to look like, you’re in good company here!
Most job listings are vague, filled with phrases like “must understand medical necessity criteria”… and give zero guidance on how to translate your bedside experience into something that fits.
That’s EXACTLY why this blog post exists.
Even if you’re brand new to UR or just need to know what hiring teams are actually looking for, this is your starting point.

Curious about data abstraction jobs but every search leads to confusion or dead ends?
I get it. That was me, too!
The more I searched, the more I realized no one was explaining this clearly for nurses. So I decided to lay it all out.
This guide clears up the confusion, answers the questions most people skip, and shows you how nurses actually get hired in the roles!
Here’s what’s inside:
✔️ What skills matter most (and how to highlight them on your resume)
✔️ Which companies actually hire nurses for abstraction work
✔️ What kind of training exists (and how it fits into the hiring process)
✔️ Realistic resume examples for nurses without prior abstraction experience
✔️ How to search smarter, with the right keywords, job titles, and platforms
No vague “just keep applying” advice.
Just practical answers and examples I wish I had when I was figuring it all out.

Can we talk about how surprisingly hard it seems to find remote nursing jobs that let you travel within the US?
They’re actually more common than most nurses realize!
What’s harder is knowing which companies and job types to stalk, because these types of jobs go fast.
Here are five companies that have posted roles in the past accepting nurses from any state:
❇️ Cotiviti – Clinical Analyst I
❇️ Cohere Health – RN Reviewer
❇️ Advance Talent – Medical Analyst
❇️ Zelis – Clinical Nurse Reviewer
❇️ Incredible Health – Nurse Talent Advocate
🌍 If you’re hoping to work while traveling internationally, that takes more research and a different approach.
I always advice nurses to « Look for a role that uses your nursing knowledge, not your nursing license. »
That shift in strategy is what opens up flexibility beyond state or country lines.
If you’ve been bouncing between job boards hoping to stumble across one of these roles, this is your reminder that there’s an easier way to find them!
I’ve done the company research for you (yes including that hard to find recruiter contact info!)
Inside the membership, you’ll not only get access to ASK ME any questions unique to your situation, but also access to our most popular feature - an easy to search & filter Remote Company Directory!
✔ Benefits breakdowns
✔ Wi-Fi needs and travel flexibility
✔ Close job titles
✔ Recruiter contact info (easy peasy to send those follow ups!)
✔ Specific specialties, hours, or shift preferences
✔ And which ones offer paid parental leave, fertility support, sabbaticals, and more!
