About The Position
The Clinical Educator will utilize professional skills and clinical expertise to train healthcare professionals both in person and virtually on a newly approved women’s health oncology therapy. This resource will create the opportunity for the education by proactively calling on pre-approved oncology Centers of Excellence. The educator will build strong relationships and conduct programs with healthcare professionals that will increase patient identification, provide a better understanding of the therapeutic initiation process, and offer patients a new option for treatment.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for training on pre-approved curriculum to a variety of audiences including, but not limited to physicians, office staff, and other health care professionals
- Responsible for routing and scheduling activities to proactively call on approved targets
- Conduct total office call and/or in-service sessions to educate physicians, nurses and office staff. Topics could include: patient education and empowerment strategies, patient support programs, as well as product education.
- Understand and encourage patient initiation and support processes and strategies for providers and their office staff that influence patient confidence
- Anticipate and address HCP needs
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, office staff and local nurse educators
- Plan, implement, and communicate collaboratively with all field organizations (salesforce, MSL’s, FRM’s) to meet established business plan objectives, identify collaborative opportunities, and optimize territory plan for results
- Work and communicate cohesively with territory sales force members to meet area needs, identify collaborative opportunities, and execute territory plan
- Advise on industry insights and innovative approaches to training curriculum
- Conduct trainings and submit completed documentation to Momentum in a timely manner
- Ensure all activities are conducted in a manner that is compliant with all Momentum, client, and industry mandated rules and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education And/or Experience
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required Licensure And/or Credential
- RN, NP, or PA
- OCN preferred
Required Skills
- Maintain current, unrestricted license as a healthcare professional (RN, NP, or PA)
- Previous HCP and Patient education experience
- Recent solid tumor experience, women’s health strongly preferred
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a bias for action
- Ability to promptly address open ended questions, provide feedback and solutions to healthcare professionals based on “real world” clinical experiences
- Presentation and training experiences to multiple audiences
- Proven adaptability to changing business demands and product relevance in a fast paced environment
- Competent and comfortable utilizing technology
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM
- Experience working for, or contracting with, pharmaceutical preferred
- Eligible to participate in federal healthcare programs or in federal procurement or non-procurement programs
