About The Role

Interested in improving the experience and quality of life of people living with cancer?

The Oncology Registered Nurse (Part-Time) participates as part of an interdisciplinary care team to deliver 24/7 nursing care to people living with cancer and those taking care of them through Iris by OncoHealth. This role is responsible for delivery of virtual, evidence-based oncology nursing care, patient and caregiver engagement and education, and interactions with the treating oncologist, care management, among others.

Recruiting for part-time work (20 hours per week maximum), 10-12 hour shifts. Available hours include the following:

  • Monday – Friday night shift: 9:00pm-9:00am EST
  • Saturday – Sunday 24/7 coverage needed: 9:00am-9:00pm EST, 9:00pm-9:00am EST

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of 24/7 care to engaged patients through the digital platform
  • Support continuous improvement of Nursing Team service delivery
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in the Science of Nursing is required.
  • Maintain a current, active Registered Nursing license issued by a Compact State under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Must have current Registered Nurse licensure (Certification with Oncology Nursing Society strongly preferred).
  • Typical years of experience are 2-4 years in direct patient oncology care. Extra credit for palliative care, outpatient oncology, oncology-focused urgent care or emergency department experience, or telehealth / digital health experience.
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency, with extra credit for MS Dynamics experience.
  • Clarity of written communication, public speaking proficiency, and growth-minded with a thirst for continuous learning.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to obtain clinical information for assessment required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cost-effective medical outcomes.

About the Location

OncoHealth is committed to remote, hybrid or in office work options. The majority of the team will be remote or in hybrid work arrangements with offices in Atlanta, GA and Guaynabo, PR. We are open to employees nationwide but work primarily in the Eastern and Central Time Zones.

Our Current Solutions

Through the use of OncoHealth’s utilization management system, OneUM, our customers can use a single e-Prior Authorization portal for all oncology drug request and treatments. Our system improves quality of care, reduces provider abrasion and gives health plans visibility into the total cost of oncology treatment.
