Our Account Executive, AORN Syntegrity plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by expanding and maintaining sales of Syntegrity’s specialized Electronic Health Record (EHR) content solutions across healthcare systems and ambulatory surgery centers. This role is responsible for cultivating strategic relationships with key stakeholders in perioperative care, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring long-term client success and satisfaction. The Account Executive works collaboratively with the Perioperative Informatics Solutions Managers, Syntegrity President, and Product Marketing Manager to align sales strategies with product innovation and market needs. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of healthcare operations, a consultative sales approach, and a passion for improving surgical documentation and patient outcomes through informatics.
AORN is based in Denver, CO. Our Account Executive, AORN Syntegrity will work remotely.

Sales Strategy & Execution
- Lead the identification, development, and closure of new accounts, with a focus on high-revenue potential healthcare systems.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan with short- and long-term goals in collaboration with the AORN Syntegrity President and Product Marketing Manager.
- Meet or exceed sales goals and provide accurate forecasts.
- Utilize market/customer data and lead generation tools to identify prospective targets.
- Maintain client account data in Salesforce.com to ensure accurate reporting of sales opportunities, trends, and product statistics.
- Provide regular sales progress reports and forecasts as requested.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including Perioperative/Surgical Directors, Surgical EHR Application Directors and Analysts, CNIOs, Nurse Informaticists, and other healthcare executives.
- Monitor and follow up on contract renewals to maintain optimal retention levels.
- Engage with customers on a regular cadence to ensure satisfaction and optimal product utilization.
Implementation & Customer Success
- Oversee post-sale implementation of Syntegrity products in collaboration with the Perioperative Informatics Solutions Managers and Syntegrity President, primarily via webinars.
- Mentor and coach the appropriate health system staff (e.g., perioperative analysts and informatics nurses) to ensure successful product adoption and utilization.
- Track and report product utilization, sharing insights with internal teams to support customer success and retention.
- Troubleshoot customer access issues or questions via phone and email.
Market Intelligence & Support
- Assess factors impacting the sales cycle and implementation processes of the AORN Syntegrity solution.
- Develop a deep understanding of market conditions, including competition, demographics, and strategic direction of healthcare organizations.
- Contribute to the development of sales tools and marketing campaigns focused on key account acquisitions.
Must Have’s to be our Account Executive, AORN Syntegrity:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- 5 years of sales experience in a direct sales or sales support role.
- Prior experience in the healthcare industry with demonstrated knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendor systems such as Cerner, Epic, and MEDITECH.
- Proven success in sales, account management, or client relationship roles, preferably within healthcare or technology sectors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous perioperative nursing experience.
- Experience in healthcare software sales.
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM application.
- Experience delivering remote presentations and facilitating virtual engagements including meetings, webinars, and video conferencing.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to provide new ideas for product development.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Ability to sell into the operating room/surgical environment.
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present AORN and AORN Syntegrity in a professional manner to clients.
- Highly developed organizational and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills including oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others both inside and outside of the organization.
- Ability to use independent discretion and experience in strategically helping customers.

- Salary range of $130,000 – $143,000 with an annualized incentive plan of $45,000.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Remote work environment, using a computer, telephone and other office equipment daily. Ability to travel as needed to support departmental and Association functions.
