CTG is seeking Clinical Informaticists to serve as the liaison between clinical operations and IT for our client. These resources will review requests for change and projects to determine organizational impact and whether the request can be reasonably accommodated within Epic.
Contract length: 15 months
Location: Remote or local to San Diego
W2 Salaried only
- Leads/participates in governance meetings and processes to determine whether a request should be approved to move forward
- Evaluates workflows to identify changes and steps needed to move to the desired future state
- Gathers business requirements and creates design documents to communicate specifications to the IT analyst
- Completes quality improvement assessments, working with clinical units to ensure technology is meeting their needs
- Facilitates acceptance testing, and coordinates with operations to ensure changes are working as designed
- Coordinates the timing of the move to production with IT
- Creates job aids, manuals, and other training materials in conjunction with clinical operations
- Performs regular rounding to clinical areas to uncover questions and concerns
Required skills and certifications:
- RN required
- In depth knowledge of clinical workflows
- 3+ years of experience with Epic, in-depth knowledge of Epic capabilities
- Epic certification in ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Orders, ASAP, or other clinical area is required
- 5+ years in Clinical Informatics
- Comfortable in Microsoft Office suite, prefer Visio skills
- Excellent communications skills, comfortable presenting to senior executives
- Excellent customer service, with patient care focus
- Certification or Masters degree in Clinical Informatics is a plus, but not required
Other:
- 2 Informaticists are needed to cover inpatient areas and outpatient clinics
