The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA) Education Nurse Planner is responsible for overall assessment, planning/coordination, implementation & evaluation of program development, processes & support for HPNA education courses, resources, conferences, and publications. Assists with management and maintains standards & processes necessary for accreditation of continuing education for nurses.
This position is part-time/24 hours per week. This role reports to the Director of Education.

Responsibilities:
- Manage, coordinate & develop educational products, including enduring courses, publications, NRGs and other educational resources, services and new initiatives to achieve HPNA strategic goals & meet deliverables of assigned HPNA projects effectively and efficiently.
- Manage all aspects of education planning, implementation, and evaluation of each NCPD activity in accordance with ANCC standards.
- Ensure consistent communication and efficient coordination among facilitators, committees, and task force groups. This includes managing contractors, vendors, and committee leaders to ensure tasks are completed on time and within scope.
- Facilitates goal setting, problem-solving, cross-training, process improvement, and quality improvement efforts.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of teaching and/or nursing staff education & curriculum development experience
- Bachelors Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Active RN license required
- ANCC experience
- Strong background in project management and SME/Volunteer coordination
- Experience in hospice & palliative care – clinical, education or management
