Clinical Education Manager

Position Overview

The Clinical Education Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring hospital personnel’s effective education and training on the use and benefits of SecurePortIV®. This position involves extensive travel within and outside the designated region to support large hospital system conversions, education refresh events, and ongoing clinical education efforts. The Clinical Education Manager collaborates closely with the Director of Clinical Education (DCE), the business manager, and the Account Manager to develop and execute comprehensive education plans. Additionally, this role includes mentoring clinical consultants, managing projects, supporting sales growth, and participating in clinical trials and evaluations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a highly specialized, experienced Vascular Access Clinical Specialist (VACS), responsible for thoroughly educating hospital and other personnel on the proper use and benefits of SecurePortIV®.
  • Work diligently to expand usage within the hospital by promoting and educating staff in key departments, including PICCs, CVCs, midlines, arterial lines, other percutaneous devices, and PIVs.
  • Assist in managing, coordinating, and conducting efforts for value analysis committee presentations in hospitals and hospital systems to gain approval for using SecurePortIV® within the facilities.
  • Continue to advance the account with continued growth in key departments such as General OR, Recovery, ICU, ER, Interventional Radiology, Anesthesia, NICU, Pediatrics, and Dialysis, with or without the assistance of the SecurePortIV® Sales Representative.
  • Supervise and coordinate the clinical education team when working on-site.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital leadership during on-site education events.
  • Mentor and orient clinical consultants as needed, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure they are well-prepared and effective in their roles.
  • Troubleshoot customer concerns and communicate these with the DCE and Regional Sales Manager.
  • Develop and deliver hospital-based presentations at regional or national meetings, showcasing the benefits and proper use of SecurePortIV®.
  • Participate in clinical trials and evaluations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is the minimal education requirement.
  • Possess leadership skills.
  • Possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and JotForm knowledge.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of guidelines, standards, and research on vascular access devices, infection prevention, complications, care, and maintenance.
  • Achieve (within 6 months of hire) and maintain Vascular-Access Board Certification (VA-BC) through the Association for Vascular Access (AVA).
  • Regular weekly travel, in and out of your designated region, is a requirement of the position and at the discretion of the DCE.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $84,000 – $110,000.
