Compensation: $95,000 – $115,000 per year. You are eligible to a Short-Term Incentive Plan with the target at 5% of your annual earnings, terms and conditions apply.
Clinical Product Specialist (REMOTE, USA)
This role work with Protected Health Information (PHI) on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and therefore training related to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and Security training will be required upon hire.
Job Overview:
The Clinical Product Specialist is an integral member of the Software Product Development team at Ambry Genetics. In close collaboration with Product Managers, this individual contributes to the clinical development, design, validation, and improvements of our user software applications including healthcare provider and patient portals, risk assessment tools, pedigree drawing software, and novel IT- and AI-focused solutions. The Clinical Product Specialist also acts as a liaison between client-facing and software teams, ensuring thorough clinical product knowledge and communication throughout the organization as well as to clients.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a clinical product resource for client-facing teams, appropriately answering clinical inquiries from clients in real-time
- Participate in the development of, and updates to, digital content for our software products
- Monitor clinical feature requests and software bugs, and communicate updates and resolutions to Product Managers and client-facing teams as-needed
- Map out patient user journeys and identify common software use cases
- Participate in acceptance testing- testing and validating developed features against documented requirements
- Recognize and communicate areas of improvement for our software programs based on clinical knowledge and voice of customer data
- Analyze and stay abreast of medical/scientific literature and standard of care guidelines regarding genetic testing and patient education/counseling best practices
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that will improve the client and patient experiences with Ambry software systems
- Support product managers in tracking and measuring key clinical performance indicators
- Support research studies, abstract submission, and/or presentations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Min. 1 year of clinical software product development or management or in a clinical profession
- Strong knowledge of cancer, cardio, neuro and/or prenatal genetics required
- Strong understanding of or background in the software product development process
- Strong writing skills with a focus on consumer/patient content
- Ability to translate complex genetics information into understandable terms
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competent with computers and technology (Microsoft Office, Excel, G-Suite, Miro, Figma, JIRA, Confluence)
- Highly organized, including exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team while working remotely
Preferred:
- Degree in clinical profession or human genetics strongly preferred
- Experience with artificial intelligence technology preferred
- Exome and/or WGS experience preferred

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
