About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinic Nurse to join our dynamic telehealth team. This fully remote role is pivotal in connecting students, families, school personnel, and mental health providers to ensure seamless access to care. As a key member of our clinical team, the Clinic Nurse supports student intake, triage, care coordination, and medication management, while working closely with Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and the Director of Clinical Operations. This collaborative support is needed to ensure children’s mental health services are equitably accessible for families across the state.
As the Clinic Nurse, you will collaborate with clinical, customer success, and technology teams to drive improvements in our internal clinical processes. You will also support the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners in providing quality care, and assist the Director of Clinical Operations in delivering team-based care to children in Iowa schools.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Intake & Triage
- Review intake documents and conduct clinical triage for all new patient referrals.
- Prioritize requests based on urgency and gather supplemental information from families.
- Request and review medical records to support service determination.
Referral & Coordination
- Coordinate referral and intake workflows for weekly team (pod) meetings.
- Collaborate with therapy leads and psychiatric providers to assign services.
- Schedule initial evaluations for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and any follow-up appointments if needed.
Support for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
- Serve as a point of contact for families, answering questions and providing support.
- Assist with medication refill requests and prior authorizations.
- Communicate with pharmacies, coordinate lab work, and relay results to families.
- Work with school nurses to obtain vitals before telehealth sessions.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to ensure continuity of care.
Team Collaboration & Clinical Support
- Actively communicate with all members of the clinical and customer success teams.
- Respond to inquiries from non-partner school districts and refer as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of clinical innovations and identify training needs.
- Work with Telehealth Coordinators to collect necessary documentation.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse, with Iowa license; BSN preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience; background in children’s mental health, pediatrics, or school settings preferred.
- Deep understanding of available children’s mental health supports for families.
- Must be organized, detail-orientated, and demonstrate ability to work independently.
- Experience working within a Team-Based Care/Collaborative Care model.
- In-depth knowledge of the school environment and its unique challenges.
- Strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about expanding access to children’ mental health services
Technology Skill Requirements:
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to optimize various software tools.
- Proficient use of Google applications (Gmail, Google Workspace) for communication and collaboration.
- Experience in using electronic medical records
- Ability to navigate telehealth platforms and video conferencing tools.
Job Type:
- Full time Seasonal, with reduced working hours June, July, and August
