We are seeking an individual with OB bedside experience who is interested in applying their clinical expertise within healthcare technology. This opportunity is ideal for both bedside nurses looking to transition into healthcare technology and healthcare IT professionals seeking to bring their obstetric knowledge to a customer-facing vendor role. This role will be located in our US headquarters office in Cary, NC, or remotely within the United States.

In this role, you will:

  • Supports assigned software upgrades and smaller customer projects, coordinating Clinical Applications activities in accordance with established implementation methodologies, tools, and departmental standards.
  • Serves as the designated Clinical Applications resource for assigned project interface testing activities, including coordination, execution, documentation, issue identification, clinical workflow validation, resolution follow-up, and customer communication.
  • Collaborates with Product Management, Development, Technical Support, Operations, and customer stakeholders to support project readiness, issue investigation, assessment of clinical workflow implications, resolution verification, documentation, and appropriate escalation.
  • Participates on larger customer project teams under the guidance of a Clinical Applications Specialist, supporting customer readiness, project planning, go-live preparation, adoption activities, workflow optimization, customer success initiatives, and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Applies knowledge of fetal surveillance concepts, obstetric workflows, and clinical documentation practices while developing expertise in PeriGen products, implementation methodologies, clinical workflow analysis, and clinical application support.
  • Provides virtual education sessions, webinars, and other customer education activities; supports onsite education and go-live activities as assigned.
  • Assists with maintaining customer education materials to ensure alignment with current product functionality, clinical workflows, and best practices.
  • Develops proficiency in clinical application support and issue investigation to assist the Technical Support team with customer-reported concerns and clinical workflow questions as responsibilities expand.
  • May support broader sales, clinical education, and outreach efforts through attendance at tradeshows and conferences, participation in client education meetings and webinars, and membership in relevant professional organizations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with employees, clients, and all community and business contacts.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Utilize time management and problem-solving skills to efficiently perform job duties.

  • Must be able to travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, utilizing major means of general public transportation, including airlines, trains, and cars. Must be able to travel approximately 50% of the time, including trips to areas in different time zones.

We’re looking for a collaborative professional with:

  • BSN required, MSN or MS in Nursing Informatics preferred.
  • Active RN licensure in state of residence required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in obstetric patient care.
  • Experience with PeriGen products strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience supporting healthcare technology projects, software upgrades, testing activities, education initiatives, clinical informatics, or implementation activities preferred.
  • Prior experience working as part of a matrixed project team preferred.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of obstetric clinical practices, fetal surveillance concepts, and clinical documentation workflows.
  • Ability to learn and apply PeriGen product functionality, implementation processes, and clinical application support practices.
  • Ability to assess clinical software workflows and support troubleshooting of functionality, workflow, and customer-reported issues.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and aptitude for problem solving.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to initiate effective dialogue with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service orientation with both internal and external customers.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Ability to work independently while recognizing when escalation or consultation is required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary clinical, technical, and operational teams.
  • Accurately log and maintain all employee working hours in the company’s timekeeping system, ensuring these are completed at least weekly, but daily preferred. This includes accurately recording all time-off (including vacation, sick days, and personal time), non-project-related administrative hours, and all client project-related hours against the appropriate project codes, and specific task allocations.
  • Consistently follows PeriGen Travel and Expense Policy guidelines.
  • Proficient and skilled in 1) MS Office Suite including (but not limited to) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email and calendar management, 2) Virtual video meeting platforms: including (but not limited to) Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
