What You’ll Do
The Clinical Compliance Manager is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s clinical compliance program. In collaboration with the VP of Clinical Quality and Compliance and Operating VPs, this position is responsible for compliance related clinical and regulatory policies, processes, quality, consistency, outcomes, education, and training. The Manager, Clinical Compliance serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of high ethical standards consistent with the organization’s values and federal and state requirements.
All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with company policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state and federal regulations and as directed by appropriate chain of command.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited nursing school; Advanced Degree preferred
Current state license as a Registered Nurse
2 years of nephrology experience and work as a frontline clinician within the last 5 years preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience working in healthcare compliance
CPR – AHA BLS certification
CHC certification / member of an accredited Healthcare Compliance organization preferred
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of dialysis operating requirements.
Maintains current knowledge of health law, regulation, and market changes that impact all clinical aspects of the business.
Strong computer and technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with compliance platforms, integrations and set-up.
Strong writing skills with specific experience in the areas of developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and training in a healthcare environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, working with both internal and external individuals and entities.
Ability to motivate, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of senior management personnel.
High level of collaborative problem-solving skills.
20-25% travel as needed
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Risk Mitigation
Applies advanced knowledge of both regulatory and clinical compliance /quality and a developed understanding of the business of Rendevor Dialysis to function as a member of the management team, working to mitigate the risks that could impede the company’s goals.
Oversees the company-wide clinical compliance audit function by directing related activities within the organization. This includes directing investigations and monitoring compliance activities in accordance with clinical compliance program standards, policies, and procedures.
Proactively identifies clinical areas where there may be substantial risk of unlawful or unethical conduct and advises the Compliance committee on areas of potential risk.
Maintains a current awareness of compliance-related laws and regulations (with an emphasis on clinical), keeping abreast of current changes that may affect the organization as well as overall health care systems.
Creates action plans, in conjunction with Operations and Clinical team members, for any compliance related deficiencies identified by clients or regulatory bodies and follow to completion.
Regulatory/Reporting (Federal)
Assists the operating units in efforts to comply with all applicable clinical state and federal laws and regulations.
Leads in the periodic review and update of Company’s clinical compliance/quality program policies, procedures, and training, to ensure continuing relevance with industry standard and regulatory compliance.
Creates, implements, maintains, and enforces the organization’s compliance program for all government and clinical policies, procedures, and processes, in conjunction with organization-wide compliance efforts, as well as federal, state, and local regulations, such as Medicare, OSHA, and HIPAA.
In collaboration with the Clinical Regulatory role, reviews and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations imposed by government agencies and others. Advises on audit controls for internal clinical processes ensuring appropriate measures are in place for accurate, complete, and compliant programs throughout the organization.
Oversees the documentation of all compliance related activities for the organization to ensure compliance with federally mandated reporting requirements. Ensures reporting requirements are maintained in a timely and accurate fashion for the organization, including the resolution of each case/issue identified and closed.
Produces ongoing and ad-hoc compliance reports for company leadership communicating trends and opportunities for the organization.
Identifies key risk areas and works with the VP of Clinical Quality and Compliance to mitigate risk through education, training, policy development, and audit monitoring systems.
Education
Collaborates with relevant partners to schedule, provide and implement compliance education programs, technologies, and processes for all new and current teammates.
Oversees the development and implementation of system-wide compliance training programs as applicable to the organization. This includes the preparation of presentation materials designed specifically to communicate and promote the understanding of compliance and privacy issues, laws, and consequences for noncompliance, as well as delivering the training programs throughout the organization.
Ensures existing and new company policies and procedures are consistent with the objectives of the VP of Clinical Quality and Compliance and Operating VPs.
Supports, through leadership and oversight, the organization’s clinicians and operations staff throughout their facilities or areas, including providing ongoing support in the development of compliance goals and objectives.
Leadership & Coordination
Acts as a compliance resource to the organization as needed or requested to address and resolve compliance related issues.
Collaborates with other members of the Clinical Quality and Compliance team to ensure continuous improvement and consistency across operating verticals.
Leads compliance committee meetings.
Demonstrates visibility and establishes productive relationships with all Rendevor Dialysis teammates, healthcare partners, vendors, and medical managers.
May act as a strategic planning partner for emergency response (pandemic, disasters, facility-wide outbreak, major clinical issues that arise)
Assist with various projects as assigned by VP of Clinical Quality or various Operations VPs and participates in various committees and task forces on a corporate, divisional, and cross-divisional basis.
Works closely and collaboratively with leaders across operational verticals to achieve patient and operational goals.
Checks email daily and responds appropriately and timely; uses company-provided email for all work-related email communications
Maintains regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
Adheres to all company policies and procedures
Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
Supervision:
Reports to the VP of Clinical Quality and Compliance
Work Environment:
This role is primarily a remote position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, phones, and photocopiers/scanners. The Manager, Clinical Compliance may be asked to visit various dialysis units in hospitals, correctional facilities, or post-acute therapy settings and/or participate in implementations, audits and trainings.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to push, pull or lift supplies and products up to 50 pounds. Specific visual abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This is a salaried, exempt position, and the employee must complete tasks regardless of the number of hours worked per day.
