Zynx Health is seeking a Clinical Content Specialist in its Clinical Content department.
The ideal candidate will play a key role within our Clinical Content department—a dedicated team of clinicians and skilled editors committed to developing actionable, evidence-based content that enhances patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of patient care, clinical research, and healthcare information systems, particularly EHRs. The ideal candidate is adaptable, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is motivated to make a high-impact contribution to healthcare.
This position will be 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and synthesize clinical research studies and guidelines to inform content creation.
- Develop and maintain evidence summaries, drawing on a comprehensive body of evidence.
- Create, update, and optimize clinical content—including evidence-based protocols, order sets, care plans, documentation templates, flowsheets, and care pathways—within our content management system.
- Develop innovative new content for patient care support, aligning with best practices.
- Respond promptly to customer queries, offering expert insights and support.
- Engage in client-facing activities, including delivering compelling presentations to clients and prospective clients.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to enhance content effectiveness and ensure alignment with company goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
- Advanced knowledge and practical experience in clinical informatics, particularly in clinical decision support.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in creating or managing clinical decision support content integrated into workflows, including care plans, order sets, documentation templates, disease management protocols, and clinical pathways.
- Solid understanding of health services research, evidence-based practices, federal healthcare policies, and the broader healthcare economic landscape.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards and quality improvement initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with clinical information systems, including CPOE, EHR, and care management platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills, with proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong desire to learn and adapt to new concepts. Familiarity with ontology, the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS), and coding systems is essential.
- Travel: Up to 10% for conferences, company and client meetings, and training sessions.
- Client Interactions: Up to 30% involvement in sales, renewal, or implementation calls that may not be directly related to content development or optimization.
Required Experience
- Minimum Education: Master’s degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field.
- Minimum Experience: Advanced training and/or professional experience in healthcare research, clinical informatics, or a closely related discipline.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in Lod Angeles, CA. The reasonable estimate, if hired in Los Angeles is $108,000.00 – $134,000.00. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
