: The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and approving clinical placement requests for online LPN to RN students. This includes evaluating whether proposed clinical sites meet program objectives and ensuring that preceptor qualifications align with accreditation and curriculum standards. The Clinical Coordinator will maintain consistent communication with students, clinical facilities, and faculty to facilitate timely and appropriate placements. The role requires proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and strong verbal and electronic communication skills to manage documentation and ensure all required forms are accurately completed and processed.
: 1. Prepares and submits required documentation for clinical placements.
- Maintain clinical competence in area of instruction and instruct students on the appropriate clinical unit.
- Assist in the development of division/program long range plans and goals if requested.
- Assist in accreditation as if requested.
- Assume some division/program administrative responsibilities if delegated.
- Communicate ideas for improving the division/program.
- Participates in department/division meetings, committees, and other activities as needed.
- Collaborates and cooperates in the fulfillment of the goals of the department/division and the College to contribute as a valued member of the department/division.
- Professional development may encompass attending/completing internal professional development opportunities or attending external conferences, seminars or workshops. Professional development may also include authoring articles or books, formal graduate study or other relevant courses, internships or clinical practice or other activities that serve to enrich the professional development of faculty knowledge and expertise.
- Professional commitment to stay current and continually improve knowledge and understanding of the discipline.
- Meet required internal professional development trainings that are essential for accreditation, compliance, or serve to advance learning-centered principles.
- Other duties as assigned.
: Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Nursing and 2 years of recent nursing practice
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in teaching and clinical supervision
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
: Knowledge and understanding of learning-centered values with the ability to develop and implement diverse teaching and learning strategies that optimize the learning of all students and that promote both acquisition and applications of knowledge and understanding (Learning-Centered Teaching Strategies).
- Ability to use consistent, timely, formative and summative assessment measures to enhance learning (Assessment).
- Technological compe ence–knowledge of, ability to develop, and commitment to using emerging technologies appropriate to the discipline.
- Familiar with and maintains behavior and actions consistent with college policies.
- Treats students with respect and is responsive to their needs.
- Become familiar with any curriculum and academic standard changes for the Online Nursing Program.
