We are looking for an individual who is an obstetric clinical subject matter expert with comprehensive functional and workflow knowledge and will engage with prospective customers to analyze current practices, workflow and identify areas where PeriGen products have the potential to improve care and outcomes. This role will be located in our US headquarters office in Cary, NC or remotely in the United States.


In this role, you will:

  • Promote new technology to support OB patient care needs.
  • Assist in the analysis of each potential customer’s workflow by engaging with clinicians and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation and customization of the PeriGen Business Case tool for prospective clients.
  • Prepare for product demonstration through potential customer assessment/discovery interviews, workflow observations, and validation of process.
  • Participate and/or lead the sales demonstration of PeriGen applications, in collaboration with the sales executive.
  • May support broader sales and educational outreach efforts, through attendance at tradeshows and conferences, participation in client education meetings and webinars, and membership in professional organizations.
  • Assist with RFP/RFI preparation.
  • Conduct occasional internal training.
  • Continually self-educate on PeriGen applications.
  • Support the sales and client engagement process by analyzing prospective customers’ workflows and business needs, collaborating on tailored presentations and product demonstrations, and customizing business case tools to highlight the value of PeriGen solutions.
  • Actively maintains an up-to-date knowledge base of care of the obstetric patient through continuous professional education and self-directed learning.

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with employees, clients, and all community and business contacts.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to collaborate with others.

  • Must be able to travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, utilizing major means of general public transportation, including airlines, trains, and cars. Must be able to travel approximately 75% of the time, including trips to areas in different time zones.


We’re looking for a collaborative professional with:

  • Current State RN Licensure, in state of residence
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • At least five (5) years perinatal nursing experience required
  • Nationally recognized certification in specialty area of practice (i.e. NCC, ANCC)
  • Active member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) or National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN)
  • AWHONN EFM Instructor or NRP Instructor preferred
  • Prior clinical experience with EMRs, fetal monitoring systems, or similar hospital-based systems.
  • Prior experience in project management preferably related to healthcare IT or medical device implementation and/or management.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Extensive working knowledge and understanding of current OB clinical practices, regulatory and accrediting agency standards, and operations that may impact the implementation of PeriGen’s software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge base of best practice guidelines for care of the obstetric/neonatal patient, fetal monitoring, and documentation.
  • Effectively communicates both orally and in writing in English. Strong customer service orientation, particularly regarding communications with both internal and external customers, especially at varying levels within the customer site, from enterprise level to the hospital bedside.
  • Advanced public speaking skills which include conducting research of potential customers prior to making a presentation, and development of a concise, motivational presentation/speech.
