Job Description:

A highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Quality Control (QC) Specialist is sought to join the team. This role validates the accuracy and completeness of clinical data, ensuring quality standards for drug, diagnosis, and lab elements. This individual will help maintain data integrity, identify potential issues, and collaborate to uphold clinical data quality standards used in innovative therapies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough validation checks on clinical datasets, focusing on the accuracy and integrity of diagnoses, drugs, biomarkers, and lab data.
  • Identify and escalate data gaps, unexpected trends, and potential ingestion failures to ensure data reliability and completeness.
  • Collaborate with mapping specialists to ensure all clinical concepts are correctly mapped and accurately represented within our systems.
  • Execute pseudo code mappings and assist in comparing these to established literature benchmarks to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Support for data monitoring platforms, including refining alert thresholds to improve data quality detection and response.
  • Offer dedicated QC support during the onboarding of new practices, paying close attention to flow sheet structure and EMR nuances to facilitate seamless integration.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand practice-specific data needs and inform the creation of relevant and effective data queries.
  • Assist in developing proactive QC dashboards and comprehensive documentation to support scalable and efficient data quality operations.
  • Assist in perform mapping of a wide variety of clinical data sources (drugs, labs, biomarkers, payers, procedures, etc.) to standard terminologies and Integra Connects extended data model.
  • Assist in ensuring accurate assignment of Concept IDs across all mapped data elements, enabling seamless downstream use across business units and client applications.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in clinical data quality, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data validation, or healthcare analytics.
  • Familiarity with Quality Control platforms such as Metaplane or similar data observability tools is highly desirable.
  • A clinical oncology background and/or in-depth knowledge of oncology data elements is required.
  • Experience evaluating clinical data – background in clinical QA/QC.
  • Proven experience working with pseudo codes and engaging in mapping activities is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to meticulous documentation are required.
