What You’ll Do
As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will blend clinical education with proactive sales and marketing support, serving as the critical link between Skytron’s product innovation and customer success. Reporting to the Business Unit Director, your efforts and focus will drive improvement in customer outcomes, reduce service costs, and accelerate revenue growth for the Sterile Processing Department (SPD). In this role, you will:
- Deliver in-service, virtual, and hands-on clinical education and technical training for sales reps, service personnel, and rep firm technicians on topics including: sterilizers, washers, ultrasonics, infection prevention and reprocessing best practices
- Drive customer engagement and lead generation through follow-up on qualified leads, nurturing customer relationships, and collaborating with Sales to identify and develop new opportunities across existing and prospective accounts
- Develop and deliver SPD product training workshops and demos, both virtually and in-person, for internal sales teams and rep firms to drive funnel progression
- Champion the voice of the customer through partnership with product management; capturing customer feedback, validating new offerings, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to product launch materials
- Audit sterile processing workflows and equipment usage, documenting findings, recommending improvements, and closing gaps in compliance or efficiency
- Create and maintain technical content, including: bulletins, quick-reference guides, and digital resources; ensuring ongoing access to up-to-date material for reps and customers
- Represent Skytron at industry events and conferences, lead the annual SPD Sales/Service Summit, and coordinate roundtables and AORN-HSPA chapter meetings to drive sales engagement and knowledge sharing

- Demonstrate sales and business acumen, including the ability to identify strategic opportunities, understanding customer ROI, and position Skytron solutions to maximize value
- Cultivate customer relationships through consistent follow-up, personalized support, and consultative problem-solving that builds trust and long-term loyalty
- Deliver high-impact training and presentations, designing and facilitating engaging programs tailored to sales teams, service personnel, and end users
- Possess and apply deep clinical and technical expertise in sterile processing to support product adoption, resolve complex issues, and reinforce best practices in cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization
- Demonstrate a collaborative, problem-solving mindset to contribute to and positively influence cross-functional teams
- Be results-focused, setting clear targets for lead generation, training completion, and customer satisfaction, while holding self and others accountable for performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Business or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of combined clinical and sales support experience in SPD or related areas
- Solid understanding of surgical workflow, instrumentation, and reprocessing principles relevant to the product portfolio
- Proficient in CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and virtual training platforms
- Possess at least Two professional SPD-related certifications, such as CRCST, CIS, CHL, CER, CIC, CCSVP (strongly preferred)
