Job Details:

Registered nurse develops and executes the training program to ensure agency nurses are knowledgeable and competent in-home infusion therapy. Executes training sessions in a multitude of formats including but not limited to in-person didactic sessions, in-person hands on labs, virtual synchronous sessions, pre-recorded asynchronous sessions, and online training modules. Provides ongoing support and education to agency nurses and partner pharmacy clinical teams. Supports all pharmacy team members in home infusion nursing process and provide education as needed. Case manages complex cases, therapies and pump troubleshooting to support pharmacy teams. Position will support contract agreements between the pharmacy and nursing agency partners.

Position will require travel, primarily throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states (New Jersey, New York , Delaware, Ohio, West Virgina and Maryland), with occasional nationwide travel. .

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute didactic education programs to ensure home infusion nurses are competent and have access to educational resources. Training program includes both in person and web-based training modules.
  • Build and execute hands on training programs to ensure home infusion nurses are competent with all modes of home IV medication administration.
  • Support nursing agency contracting with the infusion pharmacy, building professional relationships, and follow up maintenance once partnership is established.
  • Support Marketing, Sales and Patient Education with clinical expertise for instructional guides, instructional videos, website content, program flyers and more.
  • Support the Clinical Support Pharmacists, Compliance and Pharmacy Operations with program development, policy writing, therapy investigation, individual case analyses, and more.
  • Support all pharmacy teams in understanding home infusion therapy and the nursing process, to assist their daily work and ensure positive patient outcomes.
  • Ongoing review of INS Standards, IgNS Standards, ACHC Standards, CMS guidelines, insurance requirements, etc. to create and update processes to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate new supplies and equipment for appropriateness in the home and to uphold nursing processes. Assist with the rollout and troubleshooting as appropriate.
  • Support case management for patients, physicians, and nurses. This includes troubleshooting pump problems, evaluating supply concerns and needs, transitioning patients to another agency or infusion company, providing education as needed and more.
  • Carry out all job responsibilities according to the company’s core values and provide quality, comprehensive services to all customers through a team approach.

Requirements

  • Completion of accredited school of professional nursing is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
  • CRNI, IgNS, VABC or related certification required within 2 years of hire.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
