Legal Nurse Consultant (Mass Tort)

We are growing and are looking for an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant who thrives in a high volume, fast paced environment.
About the Role
This is not a traditional legal nurse consulting position focused on a handful of complex cases.
You will review large volumes of medical records, identify qualifying injuries and exposures, make medically supported case determinations, and help ensure consistent, high quality work across our nursing team. You will also serve as a resource for training, quality assurance, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Review medical records for eligibility, causation, injury, and product or exposure criteria.
- Prepare concise medical summaries and case assessments.
- Audit work completed by other nurse reviewers for accuracy and consistency.
- Train and mentor new Legal Nurse Consultants.
- Develop and maintain review guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and attorneys to resolve complex medical issues.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.
- Meet productivity and quality expectations in a high volume environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active unrestricted RN license.
- Five or more years of clinical nursing experience.
- Three or more years of Legal Nurse Consulting experience.
- Significant experience reviewing medical records for litigation.
- Experience working on high volume litigation or mass tort projects.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, diagnostics, pharmacology, and documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting mass tort settlement programs.
- Experience with bellwether cases, plaintiff fact sheets, or settlement review.
- Previous responsibility for training, mentoring, or auditing other reviewers.
- Experience developing review protocols or quality assurance programs.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical, medical device, or toxic exposure litigation.

Pay: $89,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
