Summary Of Position

Analyzes chart documentation according to the Uniform Billing Specifications Manual to accurately enter billing required data elements into EPIC. Reviews chart documentation to collect and abstract a variety of ther data that is used for statistical reporting, both internal and external.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two (2) years experience in a Health Information Management Department with Electronic Health Record Experience

Computer experience required; specifically Microsoft Outlook and Excel

Ability to pass a Medical Terminology Exam as administered by Human Resources

Light typing of 30wpm; ability to pass a typing test admininstered by Human Resources

Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records

Ability to work cooperatively with communicate verbally and in writing with other HIM Areas

Ability to exhibit courteous behavior when working with internal and external customer and work as a team member

Ability to discern numbers and names accurately

Ability to monitor concentration and focus on task at hand

Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and stay organized
