NSQIP Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR)

Job Description:
- Provides coordination and analysis of the NSQIP surgical database for outcomes reporting and initiates performance improvement through collaboration with the surgery pathway.
- Demonstrates knowledge of NSQIP database and maintains compliance.
- Utilizes NSQIP benchmarks, research, and current literature to display outcomes and lead hospital efforts to implement best practices.
- Communicates all variances from benchmark to the Surgeon Champion, Executive Director of High
Reliability/Outcomes, other physician chairs, and the surgery pathway as indicated. - With the Surgeon Champion identifies and implements plans to begin quality improvement activities for the surgery program.
- Establishes and maintains liaisons within the hospital, physician offices, industry and governmental agencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- KY Registered Nurse License or Work Permit
- 5 years of related experience
- Ability to retrieve patient information from various clinical record systems.
Preferred Requirements:
- Performance improvement and training in LEAN principles.
