Obesity Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Obesity impacts more than 40% of the US adult population, and although historically only about 1% of patients received medical treatment for their disease, the field of Obesity Medicine is entering a period of rapid growth. <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">We are hiring experienced Nurse Practitioners who are passionate about and who have recent experience in obesity medicine to provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity. In this role, you would collaborate with physicians and registered dietitians to deliver exceptional team-based care. This will be a full-time, remote position.</span></p>

<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Have a Nurse Practitioner degree, with experience practicing Obesity Medicine, including effective evidence-based lifestyle counseling and pharmacotherapy</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Are licensed to practice and prescribe legally, and credentialed with insurance payers, in at least one of the following states: <strong>MA, NY, TX, NJ, and/or IL</strong></span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Have 2+ years of experience in outpatient or obesity medicine, endocrinology, or bariatrics, and/or 2 + years of obesity medicine experience in a primary care/internal medicine setting</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Have excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Are committed to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity management&nbsp;</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Have prior experience conducting telemedicine visits and who have a great "web-side" manner</span></li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are highly preferred</span></li>
