Project Manager – Life Care Plans – Fully Remote
Responsibilities:
- Complete daily tasks necessary for maintaining efficient and consistent operations, ensureing that all key activities related to this position are completed in a timely and organized manner.
- Prepare, assign, QA and/or finalize Life Care Plans (LCPs), and other future medical reports requested by our customers
- Resource for internal life care planners for questions that may come while they are preparing life care plans.
- Manages a team of between ten and twenty life care plannersf (CLCP)
- Ensures on-time delivery of life care plans to the client
- Rearranges daily assignments as needed to meet the client’s needs
- Execute clear, concise, and thorough medical record summary narratives for inclusion in an MCP or LCP
- Identify, assess, and document critical elements regarding MCPs and LCPs
- No deposition or testimony work required
Qualifications:
- Must be a self-starter with more than five (5) years of professional clinical experience as well as recent experience in writing cost projections and/or life care plans
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to prioritize work needs to ensure product delivery
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have keen attention to detail
- Must be able to meet deadlines
- Must be able to provide training to internal staff as needed
- Contributes to overall process improvement
- Attends meetings with VP and administrative staff routinely
Additional Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse, Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Occupational, Physical or Vocational Therapist
- Must be a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP), Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP), Certified Physician Life Care Planner (CPLCP) or Certified Medical Cost Projection Specialist (CMCPS) with experience authoring reports. Will also consider Legal Nurse Consultant Certified (LNCC) with writing and costing experience.
- Strong writing skills including excellence with grammar and spelling
- Experience with ICD, CPT, DRG and HCPCS coding
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- PC literate including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
