Position Summary

We are seeking Psychiatric Advanced Practice Providers – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistants (PA-C CAQ-PSY) with experience or strong interest in psychiatry and addiction medicine to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered telehealth care. As a member of the 406 Recovery clinical team, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with mental health and substance use disorders using guideline driven, evidence-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits via telehealth.
  • Diagnose and manage mental health and substance use disorders within scope of license and training.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, including MOUD (Medication for Opioid Use Disorder) when applicable.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and other team members to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Document clinical encounters in the EHR accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in case consultations, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including telehealth requirements, prescribing rules, and controlled substance monitoring programs.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA-C CAQ-PSY) in the state of Montana (or eligibility for Montana licensure).
  • Experience in psychiatry, addiction treatment, primary care with behavioral health, or related fields required.
  • Eligibility to prescribe buprenorphine for MOUD.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with delivering care virtually.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, person-centered, and recovery-oriented care.
