About the Role
Sunflower is seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality, virtual psychiatric care to adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
In this role, you will work closely with Sunflower’s VP of Therapy and interdisciplinary clinical team, practicing under the supervision of a physician owner of the professional corporation. As an early clinical hire, you’ll contribute to a developing care model while focusing primarily on high-quality medication management and integrated treatment planning.
This is a full-time, remote position, with scheduling structured to support both consistent client care and clinician sustainability.
Responsibilities
Provide virtual psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and medication management
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with Pennsylvania scope of practice and Sunflower protocols
Educate clients on medications, including risks, benefits, alternatives, and expected outcomes
Collaborate with therapists and care team members to support integrated treatment planningParticipate in clinical case discussions and team meetings
Maintain timely, accurate documentation within the electronic health record
Support quality, safety, and compliance standards across clinical care
Support additional clinical responsibilities as needed to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania PMHNP license (multi-state a plus)
Master of Science in Nursing with Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis
DEA registration (or willingness to obtain)
2+ years providing psychiatric care (experience with SUD strongly preferred)
Comfort treating adults with complex, co-occurring conditions
Clear communicator with strong clinical judgment
Startup mindset: bias for action, low ego, high ownership
