Preferred Two (2) years’ experience as an educator in a healthcare environment, including orientation for new nurses.<br /><span> </span>3. Demonstrated ability to utilize the principles, methodologies and practices of adult education, instructional design, evaluation, and research. Computer literacy required<br /><span> </span>4. Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills for program coordination.<br />5. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of presentation skills and education and facilitation techniques. Verbal and written communication skills a must.<br /><span> </span>5. Demonstrated knowledge of Hospice philosophy as well as regulatory requirements.<br /><span> </span>6. Possesses teaching ability, strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.<br /><span> </span>7. Travel to offices within the region is optional based on the training needs identified.<br /><span> </span>8. Ability to work remotely with the ability to utilize Microsoft Teams as a platform for education and training.<br />9. Ability to work independently as well as to coordinate with other team members.</p><p><span>Responsibilities:<br /></span></p><p>1. Coordinates with the PCM to conduct orientation sessions for new nurses per standard operating procedure.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>3. Manage training schedules and logistics to effectively train new partners.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>4. Ensure training materials are up to date with the latest hospice care practices and regulations.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>5. Identify areas for improvement in hospice care practices and training programs as indicated.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>6. Maintain accurate and up to date records of orientation provided to each new nurse via LMS.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>7. Monitor monthly reports regarding training completion and new partner orientation feedback.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>8. Provide specialized knowledge and learning opportunities for the nurse to ensure agency compliance with all operating procedures.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>9. Provide leadership and mentorship to new nurses to enhance staff development and retention.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>10. Audit documentation periodically after the initial orientation period to assure compliance and provide additional education, as necessary.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>11. Complete a minimum of one Admission and one Routine visit each quarter and document in the electronic medical record.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>12. Complete workflow assignments in EMR as needed for offices without a PCM.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>13. Train new PCMs as needed on workflow assignments.<br /><span> </span><span> </span>14.
