Role: Clinical Notes Review / Data Abstraction Nurse
Location: 100% Remote
Start: ASAP
Hours: Initially 8 hours/week, with potential to grow to 24 hours/week
Schedule: Highly flexible. Candidate can work days, evenings, or weekends as long as weekly hours are completed.
What they’ll do
- Review clinical notes and medical documentation
- Identify and interpret relevant clinical information
- Translate/parse information from notes into Excel spreadsheets
- Accurately categorize items such as symptoms, medications, and other clinical data
- Maintain strong attention to detail and consistency across documentation
Ideal background
- RN strongly preferred
- Clinical research nurse would be a particularly good fit
- Strong clinical documentation experience
- Comfortable interpreting common clinical terminology and abbreviations
- Examples: recognizing SOB = shortness of breath and Lasix = furosemide/medication
- Strong Excel/data-entry skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
