What To Expect

  • Work 100% remote!
    • After the first 90 days of in-person training the Teleservices Nurse can work remote from the comfort of their home.
    • Train on nights (8p-8a) at 700 North Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
  • SRHS will provide the following equipment:
    • SRHS laptop and docking station with access to the secured SRHS network
    • SRHS dual computer screen set-up complete with 2 monitors, a keyboard, and mouse
    • SRHS phone number and phone
    • Software access to include but not limited to Epic EMR
  • Work Schedule:
    • 3 12 hour shifts (8a-8p)
    • Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holiday schedule on a team of 9 Teleservices Nurses
    • 1 weekend per month + 1 Saturday in a 6-week period
  • Call Volume: 75+ calls per day
    • Inbound calls from 70 different phone lines. Expect calls from, patients & family members (mostly), SRHS employees, other facilities.
      • Calls for these Case Types: surgery patients with complications, pregnancy & pediatrics patients, COVID questions, and general medical questions.
      • Patient Population: all age groups
    • Outbound calls include: RNOCs, PCMs, Depression Screenings, Nurses are responsible for calling patients who are discharged from all 5 hospital locations, Paging a Physician, or calling 9-1-1
  • Hourly pay based on years of experience
    • + Shift premium for nights and weekends
    • The Charge Nurse for each shift receives additional pay

What You Will Need

  • RN License + ADN + 3+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • An approved internet connection
  • Excellent assessment skills

Remote RN Job Summary

The remote Registered Nurse (RN), under the direction of the Manager/Director, utilizes advanced nursing knowledge to provide callers with appropriate healthcare information and options telephonically, through the use of physician approved protocols and nursing guidelines. RN will provide triage, health education, medical procedure overviews, physician referrals and community resource referrals to callers. Performs hospital discharge and disease-management follow-up telephone calls utilizing established health surveys and triage guidelines. Full-Time status requires 36-40 hours weekly. Weekend and holiday rotation per departmental policy.

Requirements

Education

  • Required: Associates Degree in Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience

  • Required: 3-5 years Nursing Experience
  • Preferred: 6+ years Nursing Experience

License/Registration/Certifications

  • Current license to practice in South Carolina as a Registered Nurse. Current license to practice in Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse or will obtain within 120-days of hire.
