Summary:

Senior Consultants are subject matter experts who provide advisory and consultative services to clients. This role may be an employee of the company or an independent contractor. Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry and areas of expertise are required to help clients solve problems, make decisions, implement and execute new strategies. This is a remote position that requires the ability to travel up to 75%.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver findings and presentations to C-Level audiences as well as other stakeholders within organizations and communities
  • Conduct discovery sessions, develop scoping documents and develop proposals for new projects based on client requests
  • Independently coordinate projects of large and small scope in matrix organizations
  • Provide advisory and consultative services to clients by identifying problems and recommending solutions in process, procedures, organizational structure, etc., based on analysis and findings
  • Participate in meetings, virtually or on site with clients to discuss project objectives, budgets, timelines and deliverables
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and service lines to provide the most optimal experience for our clients


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent presentation skills and superior analytical skills
  • Proficiency with computers, technology and healthcare applications such as EHRs and the ability to apply technology to a business or service line
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products such as Word, Power Point, Excel, SharePoint etc.
  • Well versed in current healthcare literature, trends and evidence-based practice
  • Ability to work under aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to conduct research and create Subject Matter Expertise and industry specific reports for internal use and client use
  • Ability to conduct and record interviews and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to clearly explain information to clients and other employees
  • Ability to listen to clients and employees and understand needs and expectations
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in managing teams, individuals, processes, projects and operations
  • Collaborative team orientated approach in achieving common goals


Work Experience, Education Licensure and Certifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, social work or terminal degree such as DNP preferred. Bachelor’s degree and licensure required.
  • Board specialty certifications are highly encouraged.
  • 10+ years of progressive previous work experience at a director level or above in a healthcare setting or facility
  • Experience working with the Joint Commission, DNV and other regulatory and accrediting agencies


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • This position is considered a remote position and requires frequent travel by airplane, train, or car as necessary to perform work at another location. Travel to client locations is based on client need.
  • Conditions typically associated with an office environment. While performing the essential duties and responsibilities, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. May be frequently required to sit, stand, or walk. Moderate to prolonged reading, typing, and computer work. Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity that may include lifting up to 50 pounds. Subject to exposure to all environmental hazards associated with healthcare and office work.


Travel Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
