Virtual Care RN (Remote – Full-Time)
Candidates may NOT reside in California
Schedule Options:
- Overnight Schedule (Set Schedule): Tuesday – Saturday, 7 PM – 4 AM PST
- Daytime Schedule (Rotating 3-Week Schedule): 6 AM – 5 PM PST
- Week 1: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 3: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday
- One weekend required per rotation
Training:
- Mandatory two-week training
- Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 7 PM EST
Location:
- 100% Remote – Open to candidates across the U.S.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Remote Virtual Care RN to join a dynamic telehealth team, providing triage support and clinical guidance to patients of all ages. This role requires strong assessment skills to determine the next level of care for patients. You will handle an average of 16-20 calls per shift, addressing a variety of patient concerns, including:
- Symptom triage and urgent care assessments
- Prescription support and medication management
- Reviewing lab and imaging results for urgency
- Providing work or school excuse notes
- Assisting with allergic reactions and symptom management
This position is a 6-month contract with the potential for extension and long-term opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a patient advocate and navigator within the healthcare system
- Provide clinical triage support and assist with patient self-management
- Facilitate continuity of care by coordinating follow-ups and referrals
- Assist with medication management, including refills under standing orders
- Support high-risk patients, including those with chronic conditions or post-hospitalization needs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data collection
- Utilize Athena EMR and maintain clear documentation
Qualifications:
- Active RN Compact License (must reside in a compact state)
- California Single State RN License required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- 2-5 years of clinical experience in triage, ER, urgent care, or outpatient settings
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and proficiency in Google Suite
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting
