The Patient Support Specialist (PSS) will focus on the intake of Program Enrollment Forms, reaching out to payors for Prior Authorization status inquiries, and providing additional administrative support to the team as needed. This position involves collaboration with the Client’s Patient Services partners, including PSS and Case Manager team, to assist with potential high volume of intake forms, Prior Authorizations, and other administrative tasks identified by client.

What will you be doing?
Complete intake process and data entry for all documents received into the Patient Support Program and triaging documentation
Responsible for timely, accurate and thorough documentation of information in the Patient Engagement Platform
Completes referral tasks and que management per program KPIs
Triage documentation to appropriate parties based on defined business rules and requirements
Identify trends in enrollment missing information
Completes all required administrative tasks in a timely manner within the deadlines required for the program, and Inizio Engage. Some of these could include daily computer updates, weekly summary of activity reports, emails, and time reporting.
Must protect patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Adhere to all company and client policies, procedures, and training requirements
Must be able to work independently to complete essential tasks with minimal direct supervision or oversight.
Return and maintain all company equipment and materials according to company instructions.
What do you need for this position?
Minimum of associate degree; pursing BA/BS preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience in patient data entry responsibilities in the healthcare field or equivalent
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and database systems
Ability to multitask while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to join frequent meetings and calls without disruption or disconnecting
