Weekend Home Health Intake Coordinator

  • Pay: $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)
  • Location: Remote
  • Type: Part-time – Weekend coverage

What You’ll Do

  • Take new patient referrals by phone, fax, or electronic system on weekends.

  • Verify insurance and get authorizations using tools like Waystar, Paylink, Availity, UHC.

  • Enter patient and referral info into WellSky (Kinnser) fast and accurately.

  • Communicate with referral sources, physicians, and case managers to confirm details.

  • Work with clinical and scheduling teams to start care quickly.

  • Assign cases to clinicians based on location and availability.

  • Keep all patient information confidential and follow agency policies.

  • Send weekend referral reports to the Intake Manager or Director of Nursing.

Schedule

  • Friday: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM EST

  • Saturday & Sunday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED (Associate/Bachelor’s in healthcare a plus).

  • 1–2 years in home health or healthcare intake preferred.

  • Familiar with Medicare and Medicare Advantage guidelines.

  • Proficient in WellSky and Google Suite.

  • Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills.

  • Can work independently without supervision.

  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
