Summary:

Women’s Center Nurse Specialist serves as a collaborative member of the Women’s and Children’s (W&C) leadership team who oversees the current and future development, implementation and evaluation of obstetric patient safety and quality initiatives to minimize risk of preventable patient harm for mothers and their newborns. Serve as a leader for continuous clinical and professional development of nursing staff and implementation of evidence-based practice innovations, consistent with national standards and regulatory requirements. This position focuses on enhancing perinatal care processes and outcomes, contributing to a culture of safety within the healthcare organization.

Other Information:

  • Current nursing license
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or DNP preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years obstetric/labor and delivery experience
  • National Certifications: Inpatient Obstetric (OB) or Inpatient Antepartum (IAP), Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety (ONQS); Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM); within 6 months of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation; Basic Life Support; within 6 months of hire

This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
