Ever notice when you start asking around about remote nursing jobs that pay 100k, you are usually met with crickets in return? Or maybe you’ve posted this question in a Facebook group, only to get comments like, “Yeah right, that’ll never happen!” Searching for this kind of info can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack, but believe it or not, the information is out there—if you just know where to look, which is what I’m going to share with you in this blog post! So, bookmark this page and share it with your fellow nurse friends!

There’s a reason why many nurses stay quiet on these topics on social media or public groups. Once something’s online, it’s out there for everyone to see, and no one wants to risk losing a high-paying remote position by accidentally violating a company policy or giving away too much.

The first place I recommend to start looking for these six-figure remote nursing jobs is on Glassdoor, followed closely by Indeed.

“Wait, I look there all the time and hardly see any remote nursing jobs paying over $100k!”

You might not be searching quite the right way.

Finding six-figure remote nursing jobs by just waiting for them to show up on large job boards is like waiting for a fish to jump into your boat. To reel in the best opportunities, you need the right bait and a strategic plan to cast your line where the fish are biting! With so many nurses wanting these kinds of positions, you’ve got to go about it differently. This is where I became known as a “remote nurse job search expert”—a title a friend gave me after hearing about my creative job search tactics.

One way to find out this information is to use the Salary section on Glassdoor and Indeed. They’re filled with valuable information that can point you toward the companies that are more likely to offer high-paying remote nursing positions. These jobs don’t always appear on big job boards like Indeed or LinkedIn right away, so to increase your chances, focus your efforts at specific companies known for these 100k roles and set up alerts directly on their career pages.

Step-by-Step: Finding Remote Nursing 100k Salary Info on Glassdoor

  1. Go to Glassdoor.com and click on Salaries.

Understanding Six-Figure Salary Potential in Remote Nursing Roles

I’ve written about what could be one of the highest-paying remote nursing roles before—you can read that here. But it’s tough to give a single answer because so many variables impact remote nursing salaries.

Here’s something to consider as you start your remote nursing job search: an entry-level role might pay less initially, but what does the salary look like after a year of experience? (Remember that total pay trajectory box on Glassdoor?).

This question can really help give you some perspective as you contemplate the decision to leave bedside nursing and potentially face a difference in salaries.

More Questions to Think About:

How long are you willing to stay at your bedside nursing job if your salary is your primary reason for staying?

Could you manage for a year in a lower-paying role than bedside to gain experience for this remote nursing position?

Have you fully evaluated the entire benefit package that is offered in an attempt to compare “apples to apples,” or have you solely looked at salary/take-home pay?

How long can you wait for the perfect remote nursing job plus the 100K salary to post and for you to land it?

If you have time to wait it out, plan out steps to take at your current positions to gain new relevant transferable job skills for your target remote nursing job, and keep track of metrics and performance evaluations so you can easily add these value statements to your resume.

Knowing the salary growth potential with experience in the role you’re targeting lets you make an informed choice and have realistic expectations going into your job search. This will also help you reduce the likelihood of burnout when applying because you’re not wasting time applying for roles that aren’t going to align with your preferences. There truly is a lot of potential for advancement in remote nursing jobs that will surpass the average salary nurses make at the bedside once you have experience.

Additional High Paying Remote Nursing Jobs

Remote nursing salaries can vary widely based on where you’re located in the U.S. Occasionally, though, you’ll find companies that offer a higher salary regardless of location or that pay more based on certain state nursing licenses or state residency requirements.
